Overview

The Princeton Endoscopy Center offers a variety of GI procedures performed in a certified ambulatory endoscopy center setting. These outpatient procedures include the following:

Colonoscopy

A colonoscopy is a safe, fast, and minimally invasive procedure, in which a trained physician uses a special instrument called a colonoscope to view the gastrointestinal (GI) tract; specifically the colon and rectum.

Flexible Sigmoidoscopy

Similar to a colonoscopy, a Flexible Sigmoidoscopy occurs when a physician needs to appraise the lining of the rectum and the large intestine

Upper Endoscopy

An endoscopy often referred to as an upper GI endoscopy or upper endoscopy (EGD), is a minimally invasive procedure used to evaluate the upper part of the gastrointestinal tract.
